Hays seeks to lock down Carrizo-Wilcox water rights
Hays County commissioners staked a claim to a water supply for the future on Tuesday, unanimously approving a letter of intent to buy 25,000 to 45,000 acre-feet of groundwater each year for 50 years from a private company that plans to pump from the Carrizo-Wilcox Aquifer to the east.

Dripping Springs HEB Update

Shellie Hall, branch manager for Gracy Title in Dripping Springs attended the local Planning and Zoning meeting along with HEB and reports this update: HEB is planning to be opened by October 2009, and this will only be 62,000 SF not the HEB Plus as was originally planned. Also included in the plans are a car wash, 5 gas pumps, drive through pharmacy, retail center behind and they will leave themselves room to expand later on.
